This ceramic instrument can be struck, rubbed, and scraped with percussion utensils. The sound resonates through the entire hollow vessel, and emerges from the sound holes on either side of the form. This instrument can be climbed on to the top, where the viewer can play the instrument from a better vantage point, so as to access all parts of the form.
