Pants is a large scale ceramic instrument investigating ceramic columns as aerophone organs. With each pant leg functioning as its own organ, microphone amplification resonates through each column like pant like. Performances at The Martin and Superkhana in Chicago, IL have manifested this instrumentation live for an audience. Resonant feedback pours from each pant leg, changing in tone as the performer wears each pants sculpture in various ways. Each pants iteration houses different functional interactive modes. For example, the largest pair of pants functions as a ladder, with holes for feet to climb up and into the pants, with a hidden internal foot hold. These pants range in size, which offers a wide variety of resonant tonalities from feedback.
